~ redhanded: a songe forre the loste is a series of thirteen line etchings, thirteen letterpressed poems, and seventeen letterpressed pages of text in a  handmade clamshell box.  the redhanded portfolio is configured as an unbound book within the box.  each of the thirteen line etchings has its companion poem. i made redhanded as a witness, place of mourning and remembrance, and wailing wall; a memorial to the perpetual war against wilderness, childhood, children, and womyn.  redhanded is a child's-eye view of the unrelenting harms' way by which children, childhood, womyn, and wilderness are damaged and destroyed in the adult humyn realms.  this work is an indictment of the myopic denial, grievous devastastion, and consentual disregard with which my own species --- by making too much of ourselves --- unfoundedly and unsustainably circumscribes the intricate and diverse wild living world. ~
